Knock on wood. Or vitamin D.

I've always been prone to catching lots of colds and such during the winter. Then when I had children it became a huge annoyance as I literally caught a cold or flu each and every month for 6 months of the chillier months. This year I wanted to try a liquid vitamin regimen, on top of my normal vitamin regimen to see if there's any merit in vitamin therapy. Folks, it works. I've never been a skeptic on the benefits of healthy eating, vitamins, exercise, and sunshine being the best medicine, but I've taken my share of multivitamins, fish oil, calcium, etc.. for years and never really seemed to have any effect whatsoever. Plus, I work in a uberhealthy vegetarian restaurant that is huge on the Raw Foods movement, juice for health, and vitamin supplementing. So a few months ago I spoke to my bosses wife about this getting sick every month for 6 months issue. She's the mother of five kiddo's, and they seemingly never get colds and flu's. "What's your trick??" I ask. She tells me liquid vitamins. So I buy some. I buy liquid C, D, B and Reishi Mushroom extract. I start adding them into smoothies for myself and the kids - lower doses of course for the little ones. And here we are, almost February, and we're all still the picture of health. A few times I've been feeling like I might be catching a cold I do this vitamin regimen before bed and again in the morning and all symptoms vanish. I'm impressed.
